Resting at the foot of the beloved Cradle Mountain is this Tasmanian treat – Dove Lake. While we’d be happy to just take a seat and embrace the stunning scenery, most people enjoy the six-kilometre track that circles the water. The walk, considered one of the state’s best, is littered with surprise beaches, special vegetation like buttongrass and myrtle, and a platypus or two. You’ll even encounter the gorgeous Ballroom Rainforest – a cool temperate rainforest with a moss-covered floor that adds some extra magic.
