This is a place devoted to giving you deeper insight
into the news, trends, people and technology behind Bing.
Happy Australia Day and welcome to the very first Bing AU blog post. We've decided to start our own AU blog so we can keep you all up-to-date with what's happening with our product, our team and our industry in our country. Please feel free to add comments or questions and keep watching this space for updates.
Here at Bing we love nothing more than showing off our national pride with a picture of an Aussie flag-festooned bathing box – sure to get every Aussie in the mood for a barbecue, perhaps a beer, or a day at one of Australia’s many gorgeous beaches.
In fact, speaking of barbecues, you could say that Bing puts the ‘ b’ in barbecue, allowing many a hungry Aussie a way to search for everything barbecue related, from places to get designer snags to some summery recipes that will have everyone shouting ‘Oi, Oi, Oi’ with much delight and gusto.

yay! an AU BING!
happy AUSTRALIA DAY. Too bad hewitt and stosur lost. It's more like HAPPY CHINA week at the moment with the two Chinese women going thru to the semis
Yes, a great picture that was as for the results of the video search from the Bing 'EN-AU' page just as the same BBQ video link you list above not much Australian BBQ'ing going on!
As <a href="www.istartedsomething.com/.../">Long Zheng</a> stated <em>"On a related note, I find it mildly amusing that the live scores are available on Bing in the United States, but not in Bing Australia, where it is held. Google Australia however gets it right."</em> it is seriously time you start getting Bing Australia localised and a 'decision' engine for Australian's which is what the US have whereas Bing Australia is still more of a 'tradional search engine' rather than the 'decision engine'.
The tennis live scores are available in Australia, they are down the bottom of the page along with the Freebase answer ...
The difference between the US & AU results pages are vastly different
Australia - Scores at the bottom along with Freebase
US - Scores at the top then the AO site, then news, more news, winners, results, schedule and Freebase at the Bottom.
The two pages are vastly different and the US page leaves the AU results wanting.
What's up with bing maps in OZ? It goes to a different domain (bingmaps.com.au??) and has a dirty big ad on it? If you want to catch google, you're going to have to at least start by matching their functionality!
"Catch-up" is a mug's game. Google is where it is because it DIDN'T play catch-up, it deliberately changed the game. To use a wonderfully grisly military turn of phrase, it is vital to choose the killing field.
Hey happy Australia Day to you too.
Thank you and happy Australia day to Bing Australia.
