This is a place devoted to giving you deeper insight
into the news, trends, people and technology behind Bing.
of today (3/10/2011), KAYAK is providing flight search results in the U.S. from multiple
cities, airports and airlines, giving customers access to a larger set of
flight itineraries as they work to plan and book travel on Bing.
Since the launch of Bing, our goal has been to create a new and different search experience focused on helping you make faster, more informed decisions. We set out to do this by delivering great results, organizing the results in more visual and useful way and simplifying key tasks across all the things customers are doing in search, including shopping, health, local and travel.
Along the way, we’ve teamed up with some great vertical search partners to help us bring new, unique and interesting features to our users including Facebook, Twitter, Wolfram Alpha, just to name a few.
Today, we’re excited to welcome a new technology partner, KAYAK. Teaming up with KAYAK, a leading innovator in travel search, allows us to provide a more comprehensive travel search experience. In the coming weeks KAYAK will provide flight search results in the U.S. from multiple cities, airports and airlines, giving customers access to a larger set of flight itineraries as they work to plan and book travel on Bing.
For Bing, this means we can focus our development resources on delivering even more unique and valuable features for customers. In essence, this lets us do more for our customers as we continue to invest in next-generation travel experiences.
So what does this mean for customers? It means Bing Travel is getting more powerful and comprehensive when it comes to helping customers plan and book travel. When combined with Bing’s own tools and technologies such as Price Predictor, rate indicator, flexible search tools and Flight Answers, we are really doubling down on giving customers the tools to make faster, more informed travel decisions. Travelers, rejoice!
Keep on searching and safe travels!

Does this have anything to do with KAYAK saying Bing Travel looks a lot like their site, and that they might pursue legal action..?
@aldo - no, this is all about providing a better experience for our customers. Teaming up with KAYAK allows us to provide a more comprehensive travel search experience and focus more on delivering unique and valuable features for customers. Might want to add:
( If you want to comment, sign in)
@ The Bing Team:See this is what i'm talking about, customers want this, just type and quick relevant results come back, why not for Windows Phone 7 guys?
Why no dedicated bing app for WP7, with the metro ui concept> must the customers wait half a year for features like these to roll in?
that would be so great then!
@Imaxxhd Which WP7 device are you using?
I think Kayka is great choice very easy to use.
