I think Bing rewards is an excellent program and Im very glad that a lot of people got to win those amazing prizes! I really like this collaboration between Microsoft and Nokia and having those super devices on the rewards program is ultra awesome!
Wow 500 dollar gift card is really worth much -enjoy with shopping
Is Bing rewards ever going to launch outside the US? I live in Canada and I love Bing search and use it all the time but it's frustrating how Non-American versions of Bing are so lacking feature wise.
Darn it, I wasted all my points entering the Lumia contest. No more sweepstakes for me. I'm going back to using points on actual rewards.
I wasted over 700 points and didnt win wow what a rip off -_-
To the user above me: I know lol. I'll stick to buying non-sweepstake rewards from now on. That 500 gift card won't tempt me.
I am so ticked.... I wasted over 1690 credits entering in this stupid thing... that is bull crap...
Wow, I wasted over 2,000 points.. thanks Bing.. you finally just got me to switch to Google. Next time don't rig it.
Wow, I can't believe there are people complaining about not winning. You need to realize that, even if you spent a good amount of poitns for the contests, there are a large number of bing users out there that probably did the same. You really can't expect a guaranteed win if you spent an X number of points vs someone who spent Y number of points. Sure, your chances may increase, but it is completely random, after all.
And LOL @izzmo who's going to switch back to Google just because he didn't win the contest...talk about a sore loser. You lost, get over it. You want to switch to Google? Go ahead, but why officially announce it. You sound more like a fool just because you've decided to switch search engines just because you didn't win some contest. You're just one individual against many.
This is the biggest crock I have ever seen. I wasted over 300 credits and didn't win anything. Don't waste your time. I'm switching back to Google. Also the Bing Rewards staff are terrible at communicating on twitter. It seems they only respond to you if you have 100 or more followers. Microsoft needs to work on their PR. I'm out.
Yeah - I don't mean to be a jerk to those that are crying about losing, but guess what - I put in 1700+ points - even bought half of my entries with a gold 'discount'. At the end of the day I traded about $15-20 worth of Amazon gift cards to the possibility of winning $650 worth of stuff (449 phone + $200)... to me that sounds just like most raffles. I'm sad I didn't win but like most lotteries - you probably won't win. I was hopping that this would slip under the radar and my 1000+ entries - one would be a winner. Unfortunately there were a lot of other people just like me, and the Lumia is turning out to be popular - so a lot of people entered.
I say fine: go back to google - when they start giving back to you for your searches, let me know :-P. At least we had the possibility of winning something.
Congrats to the winners!
I HATE YOU BING! WAAAH WAAHH!!! Just kidding. Of course, I wanted to win - I switched to Bing to get away from Google and a chance to win this was a bonus - I won't switch back over it! I was actually going to go back to contract cell phone if I had won, but, I also realized that THOUSANDS (maybe millions) of people would be entering, so my hopes were much higher than they should have been. Oh well, I'll stick with my Straight Talk iPhone. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!!!
I knew the odds were against me, but since Bing gave me the rewards points (I didn't spend a single centavo to get them), it cost me NOTHING to try for the Xbox and/or Nokia phone. No wins but I'm still going for that Amazon gift card. Spendy entries just when my daily points possible has dropped to 20 but having GOLD status helps a little bit. If I win, I'll be buying a Windows phone. After reading Google's policies about tracking phone calls (remember Android belongs to Google), I'm getting a Windows phone some way.
Nice rigged little contest. I actually tried out Bing because of this but I will switch back to Google. Another failed marketing attempt by M$.
