The Best Overall Passenger Experience award went to Emirates and Virgin America — there are two categories based on the number of planes equipped with in-flight entertainment (IFE).
The Passenger Choice awards originated with the Airline Passenger Experience Association. To prevent commercial influences, the Nielsen Co. tracks voting by the traveling public. The awards were designed to recognize airlines for service, products and innovations.
