This is a place devoted to giving you deeper insight
into the news, trends, people and technology behind Bing.
This week we’ll tackle something everyone talks about and many spend far too much time searching for. Tools. Tools for seo work, keyword research and analytics tools.
The lists below are by no means comprehensive. There are some obvious tools missing from the keyword research and analytics lists, for example. And we’re not endorsing any of the third party tools in these lists. We did want to provide the information though, to get you started. Keep in mind that som eof these tools will be free, while others will require you to pay to access data.
Your job is to research the tools and decide which ones best fit your individual needs.
To start with, we will recommend the Bing Webmaster Tools, with their SEO Reports, SEO Analyzer, Link Explorer, Organic Keyword Research Tool and more. We’ve built a comprehensive set of tools to get you started, and some of these, such as Link Explorer and the SEO Analyzer exist at no other search engine for free.
When you can, you should take advantage of officiial tools provided by the engines. Beyond that, there are lots of tools online that can help with a number of different fields of focus you may need to work on. With that said, let’s get to the lists.
Keyword Research Tools
There is even a digital analytics association to help get you certified as a web analyst.
To wrap up this week, we’ll leave you with some further reading from some of the leading industry sources:
10x for the post :) geting right on the tools and will start learning :)
Thanks for the analytics list. Of the ones listed above, I've tried awstats, get clicky (aka clicky), and piwik. Awstats is pretty good for run-of-the-mill server log processing such as apache logs, but it's not really something that's the goto for analytics. It's a nice-to-have and, for alot of servers, it's installed by default (think cpanel). It's that or webalizer, which awstats is by far superior.
Piwik, you have to install on your server and everything runs on your box via php/mysql. I do like the effort they put into it, and it's a very nice bit of software for what it does, but I've had a heckuva time getting it to work properly--specifically its maintenance cron job script.
Finally, there's get clicky. Really just "clicky." This is a really nice analytics option for those that want an alternative to google analytics. I prefer this over Piwik due to the processing taking place on their servers instead of mine. It also has real-time analytics. This let's you watch your visitor activity as it happens. One thing that's very important is that its tags have an asynchronous option. I think async is a must-have for any modern analytics program. A nice way to make sure you page speed or yslow grades don't take a hit. Another thing I like is piwik's ability to ignore a user, such as the admin, so you don't end up affecting your own logs. If you do a lot of maintenance you don't want your footprints showing up in the logs contaminating your data.
I haven't really taken a look into clicky's other good stuff like campaigns and goals.
I do plan to try open web analytics eventually, which is free, but like piwik, you have to install and run it on your server.
Overall, a good list to choose from.
+1 this post help us to starting SEO with Bing!
With views of the individuals participating in SEO , I think the site's traffic intensity will be the most important factor .
Traffic flow system must be based on the number of visits brought from the natural search results . With a successful SEO strategy , you will see the flow of traffic from natural search increases significantly over time .
The traffic that you expect depends on the number of targeted customers . For example , an SEO campaign targeted at " people who are searching online for business card printing in the country " will yield a higher amount of traffic from a targeted SEO campaign to " those who are looking for a local dentist . "
Assessing the quality of traffic is a complex process and requires a thorough analysis , careful . Some statistics can partially assess the quality of traffic is :
- Visitors on the site
- Average access time
- Percentage of bound rate
When considering these figures , if you find that every page view counts low , average access time low , and the high proportion of bound rate , then surely there is a problem occurs with your web or problem with this kind of traffic that the keyword brings .
We will focus on a number of issues that require an understanding of the relationship between the keywords your campaign targeting , and the amount of traffic that the keyword that brings. Take the example of searching for " the defense lawyer for foreclosure ." Users of the search target is those who are trying to " avoid foreclosure " and look for a good lawyer to defend the action.
The goal of the user can achieve when they search the keyword " coated the foreclosure " However, there are two problems with this keyword .
- The search for these keywords do not necessarily want to find a legal justification for them . They are studying possible ways to avoid foreclosure without having to hire a lawyer .
- Even if the target user is looking for a lawyer , then maybe they are still in the research stage and may arise many other options .
Conversely , if a user searches for the keyword " attorney for foreclosure " , the majority of their goals is to find a lawyer . They 've gone through the research phase , and decides that the hiring a lawyer is the best way to avoid being condemned property , and simply search for that keyword .
For this reason , users will invest more time on the site of the " law justification for confiscation of property ," the study of information that lawyers , read the articles of the law this professor . ..In addition, users create such conversion appointment , call the lawyer . . . It is very possible happened . Therefore, to study the following criteria
