i have created a website www.readingink.co.uk and tried to optimize it for the search engines. the site has been online for 3 weeks and is ranked nicely in yahoo and google is improving nicely. my problem is i cant seem to get indexed by bing, i have used the webmaster tools, checked robot file, validated the xhtml code, verified the site as well as doing the link building and advertisement that got me noticed on the other search engines. has anyone got any ideas???
I suggest building your of-page ranking factors i.e. RELEVENT backlinks-- to help encourage the crawler to index more of your site.
MS' search engines are much slower to index content than Yahoo which is again slower than Google.
Bing doesn't have our site indexed except for 2 pages which were created a year ago. We ping it twice daily with our sitemap index file and we are well linked to.
Guess it just doesn't like us very much :)
It will take some time bro. Just remember always make high traffic on your web and the search engine will come to your web.
it will take time to indexing ur website's pages in bing.com
even i have a portal www.dhangout.com with 5000+ pages and daily updated more then 100+ pages
but bing have indexed my websites 250 pages only .
if any one have idea about it to work first reply me on my id that is email@example.com
Again this is the question asked by lot of people in the forum. Please be patience and wait for couple of days to index by Bing.
The pages which has the high rank will index first, so if any pages are not visiting by users or not active they will index last. Google and other search engines indexed all your pages because Google is crawling your sites from the time you started your site. But may be little time back only you submitted your site to Bing. So wait for couple of days to index by Bing completely.
I have waited over a month and "Bing" will not index. I also submitted a business listing over a month ago and the status is "Pending Review". I have submitted my sitemap, url and domain through webmaster tools as well as verified it in the meta tags. What is the deal?

How does Bing know how many people visit my site?
Sometimes it happens and it can happen with any of the search engines. My website is very well optimised and has validated all the chekcing options you have mentioned .It was indexed in yahoo and msn but was no where in google but after two weeks it was indexed in google too.So it depends on the structure of the search engine specific algorithm. The site is alright.May be after sometime it will be indexed in bing.
Bing is a tad bit slower as compared to other search engine. The website that you have mentioned has two PR and it has been indexed by Goolge. I think developers of Bing will only solve this riddle. I would rather suggest you to wait for few more days.
the problem is with your xml site map. there is wrong code(syntax) is there. make your xml sitemap correct and validate it with validome.com and upload it on the server. your site will be indexed in week.
check out my site xml site map. http://www.ebosys.com/sitemap.xml and compare it with your site and do the changes accordingly.
hope your site will index now..
Thanks for the reply. I have changed my sitemap souce code to work like yours and tried to validate it through validome.com however it says the following error message :
Could not validate this document, because it does not include a DOCTYPE Declaration. A DOCTYPE Declaration is mandatory for most current markup languages and without such a declaration it is impossible to validate this document. Place a DOCTYPE declaration in your document and retry to validate. For third-party documents, you can choose a DOCTYPE from our DOCTYPE-bar. Here you can find a list of valid [X]HTML-DOCTYPES, maintained by the W3C.
when i tried to validate your sitemap it said the same thing??
so that mean yahoo is the most fastest search engine to index your site

Guys, Focus on Building strong RELEVANT backlings as suggested by brett, and have some patience to index all the pages of your website.
