I am showing over 400,000 backlinks - and I didnt create them

This question has suggested answer(s)

Hi this is my first post, and I am new to all this webmaster stuff.  Somehow Bing is showing me having 492,000 backlinks - when I look at the refrences I see really random stuff and I have no idea where they have come from - should have about 2 - 3 hundred at most - obviously this would look like spam and is probably affecting my rankings with Bing.

my site is http://smile-dry.jp - any suggestions on how to fix this problem or pointers on someone at Bing to contact would be much appreciated.

cheers

Rick Manson

  • Hi

Thanks for your suggestion - at first I thought that this was some kind of mistake and that Bing just needed to reset something at their end and all would be good - but after looking at some of the pages listed in the backlinks - found this code - I dont understand it - but it looks to me like someone is actively injecting my address into pages and making it come up in Bing backlinks  - I have done nothing in anyway to warrant this and am at a loss as to what to do - today it is reporting 561,000 backlinks - any suggestions - is there anyone at Bing who can look at this for me please.

    - An Update - The no. of reported  backlinks have dropped to 488,000 but are only indexing about 500 hundred or so and it appears that Bing is filtering these out after a couple of days - why someone would do this I dont know - but it looks like maybe someone doesnt want our wee business to be sucessful on the web (and I think I know who)

  • You should check where they come from in order to make sure the links are quality.

  • bạn nên kiểm tra chất lượng của nguồn backlink này, chắc chắn nó ảnh hưởng đến thứ hạng của bạn

  • You should check the quality of the backlink source, it definitely affects your rankings

  • May be the domain was earlier owned by someone else and you bought after it got expired. So chances are that the previous owner might have shared the links. But you are blessed I would say. I am trying hard to create back link for my blog http://dudendiva.com/ and I know how difficult and time consuming it is.
