Double saving days

What are Double saving days?

Double saving days are a Bing cashback promotion where the amount of cashback offered by most stores will be doubled (up to a total cashback reward of 50%) for a limited time.

When does it start?

The program will begin on August 10, 2009 and will run until the end of August, but Microsoft reserves the right to end the program early.

How will I know I am getting the promotional rate?

Starting August 10th, the cashback percentage will be double the usual rate, and as always what you see is the amount of cashback savings you will get.

So what will I see when I shop using Bing cashback?

You will see messages that explain the Double saving days.

And on the shopping page.

You will also see the total discount, total cashback amount, and total bottom-line price for any item you purchase.

Are all stores participating?

Some stores may elect not to participate in Double saving days. In that case, you will see their usual cashback rates. Either way, you'll see the actual cashback amount.

I made a purchase just before/after the promotion started. Can you change my cashback?

Unfortunately, no. We can only honor the cashback percentage at the time of purchase.

How will I know which stores are offering additional cashback?

We will apply any promotional rate automatically, so it will be easy to comparison shop. We don't have a separate list of stores.

Will the promotion apply to back-ordered items?

Stores honor cashback at the time of purchase. Some stores don't charge you until the item is in stock or when it ships, so it would be best to check with the store before making a purchase.

What if I have to exchange an item?

Stores honor cashback at the time of purchase. You should check with the store to understand their return policy. If a return or cancellation occurs, the cashback savings from that purchase may be canceled.

What if a store accidentally cancels my order? Will I still get the promotional rate?

Our system tracks the timing of the promotional rate. If there are any issues with eligible cashback purchases during the promotional period, we will be able to investigate them and apply the appropriate rate at the time of purchase.

I see the same store offering different cashback amounts. What is going on?

Some stores have a single cashback percentage across their entire stock; other stores offer different cashback percentages for different items. Be sure to check the cashback percentage you are getting when you make a purchase.

Will you have more promotions like this? How do I get notified?

We don't have a schedule of promotions or events. In addition, stores can change their cashback percentage at any time. Once you open a cashback account, you will be on the distribution list for a newsletter in which we will likely communicate future events (you can also opt out of receiving the newsletter, if you prefer).
