    Brian Flood from Spatial Data Logic has released an add-in for ESRI ArcGIS which enables data visualization in Microsoft Virtual Earth called Arc2Earth . Arc2Earth has historically allowed for visualization in Google Earth and Google Maps, but most recently added Virtual Earth to it's list of mapping platforms to which users can publish. In their own words, Arc2Earth, " was created to convert and publish your ArcGIS data to view in Google Earth, Google Maps or Virtual Earth with a click of a button.     We had some features for Version 6 that didn't make it into the last release in October, but we really wanted them to be available now so we shipped them in a QFE.     The latest release of imagery and photogrammetrics includes 36.3 TB of photography and models of 58 new cities worldwide! At a high level we've updated the Manhattan imagery, added 44 new cities with our Microsoft (Vexcel) ortho imagery, 36 new US bird's eye areas, 26 new European bird's eye areas, 5 areas of US orthos from GlobeXplorer, 17 international orthos from GeoEye, updated UK photos from GetMapping and Holland orthos from Digital Colour Orthophotomap of the Netherlands (DKLN). The image processing pipeline team is pumping out some serious bytes. One of these days I'm going to document how exactly this gets done....     We've set up a few surveys to get a better understand of what it is you actually want out of a mapping platform; or, at least from our mapping platform. Better route data? Today, we've added Live Search China results to include local links through to our Live Local Search using our localized Chinese maps.     We've launched our Live Search Maps site in Chinese ! Not only that but we have street data for China! The first public release supports most basic map and local search features across China with details for 114 cities, plus a Public Transit feature for 11 cities, but without Driving Directions and Public Collections; we will enable Public Collections in the QFE, and add Driving Directions in a future release.
