New Release of Live Search Maps and Virtual Earth 3D

Our Maps team released new versions of Live Search Maps and Virtual Earth 3D yesterday.  Here are some of the highlights:

  • Directions and Traffic enhancements, including 1-Click directions (Party Maps!)
  • Improved 3D cities (Las Vegas is shown below)
  • Labels in Birds Eye imagery
  • Exporting collections to your navigation or GPS device
  • Tour enhancements, including HD movies

What happened?

My favourite map search site (www.maps.live.com) (UK) has been replaced now by your newly acquired Multimap portal.

How can anyone replace something so good with something this bad?

I have used Live Maps in the UK for the past year and half, fully aware of the existense of Multimap.

For the first time in 2years I've been forced to use Google Maps again. I have to now start removing links and shortcuts to Live Maps from my PC's.
