Live Search Powerset team at Web 3.0

October 08, 2008, 05:15 PM by Bing | 6 Comments

The Live Search Powerset team will be presenting next week at Web 3.0 in Santa Clara on October 16-17. Scott Prevost, Powerset general manager, is providing Friday's keynote on The Road to Semantic Search. And I'm hosting a roundtable discussion on Thursday with Alitora, Cerebra, Metaweb, and Thompson Reuters called Semantic Startup 101 - Successes, challenges, and strategic decisions.

For details, see Powerset at Web 3.0 next week.

Hope to see you in Santa Clara!

Mark Johnson, Senior Program Manager, Live Search Powerset team

Hi,

Hate to bother you all here on your blog but my company owns a site that is considered a News Source by the other major search engines.  However, we're not being indexed by Live.com News as of this time.

Do you know who I can get in contact with at Live.com News to discuss having our site included in Live.com News search?

Thanks and me or one of our staff will check back on this blog to see if there is any response.

Again sorry for the bother, but we couldn't find any way to contact Live.com News.

Hey Live Search Team. I wrote a blog entry on a list of ideas you guys should consider to make Live Search much more appealing and better than the competition. I think you'd find this to be a pretty good list, to make it an ultimate search engine.

Give it a look : http://msftandthefuture.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!1CA34B674D84900!2585.entry

Gimmicks won't keep people in forever, and makes Microsoft look desperate. The best solution is to just really improve Live Search so much that it'd be hard to argue that Live Search is on par or better than Google.

Same issue here, Nice post quikboy, I've read the suggestions and that if properly implemented can see Live Search a household name again.
