Thanks all for responding.
I wonder if Bing plan to allow UK businesses to add to their maps - very frustrating!
Be patient. Bing Maps is still new and they will tell us when the feature becomes available in other areas of the world. They're working on it!

You type in laptop repair london and the above appears on BingBong :)
How do you add a UK business, does anyone from Bing monitor these forums?
Thanks Mart
Bing local business center is only applicable in USA. Other then USA you cannot add to Bing maps. So if you are outsider then its not possible to add your business. You (I also )have to wait for Bing's next update.

It's not easy to find but here it is:
Bing get's it's info from Mulimap. To register with Multimap you have to use a company called Market Location:
Multipmap FAQ: http://www.multimap.com/help/#aq727 (If you check the US option in this FAQ you will be directed to BING)
Market Location Link: http://www.marketlocation.com/changereq/.
I hoep that helps!
I have never heard of Multimap before. Who told you that Bing get's it's data from Mulimap? How come nobody knew? Can you point us to a reliable source where we can confirm this information you brought?

Go to Bing.com and click on the "maps" link, this takes you to multimap

Hmmm - perhaps you should know your product a bit better?
Multimap.co.uk or Multimap.com was one of the first (if not the first) mapping website available online. It has been going at least 10 years. I am astonished you have never heard of it?
Before Google maps came along, it was the premier mapping solution everyone used.
From looking at the multimap home page, you can see that it has been purchased by Bing (or Microsoft), since it is now listed as "multimap powered by bing", and you can see from the multimap FAQ how to add a business in the UK (via Market Location) or USA (via Bing).
Contrary to a post by another Quality Director, UK businesses are shown in BING search results on maps and this could be where they are sourced from. I suspect this is true because a few days ago I regstered a business with multimap and it now appears in the search results, when previously it did not?
Multimap has been around for 10 years I am astonished you have not heard of it. Go to the home page and you will see"Bing" is plastered all over it and the links I listed are from their FAQ and work?
I have been thinking about how slow it was when I tried using it over the weekend. I guess it's down to the fact that it is still very new. It will get better with time.
