Currently Bing is still in beta here and every time we visit the bing.com website we get redirected to our local version (Belgium) and sometimes the wrong version (I live in the Dutch speaking part, not in the French speaking part). When I want to see the 'complete' Bing I have to change my settings to United States EVERY time. Same for using the Bing Maps (which I love to use). http://www.bing.com/community/forums/p/653355/9608808.aspx When Google releases a beta it works in almost every country. :( An example: I gave my friends a link for the Tour de France 2010 map app but they have problems to see and use the map app. (Some of them are not so good with PC's). It's a bit a shame, Tour de France is being organized here in France, Belgium and the Netherlands but for us people, who care the most (I guess) can't use it normally :( I tried to contact some people of Microsoft Belgium and they could not give me an answer about the Bing Beta status. That is the job of MSNBot. Obviously MSNbot isn't working, GoogleBot and Yahoo's Slurp do work well, they are fast, index efficiently, dont' take up a lot of bandwidth, and are polite. I wish Bing's engineers would redo MSNbot to act like Googlebot and Slurp, but Bing's engineers probably won't. Those engineers will continue to place the blame on the website content and spend most of their time making Bing look pretty, rather than work. No wonder Bing has actually been losing market share to Google. Google works better. Why can't Bing's engineers make Bing work better and not be prettier?
