Bing races to Birdsville

Can you hear the thunder of hooves sounding from today’s Bing Australia homepage? The dusty landscape of tiny western Queensland town Birdsville plays host today not only our homepage, but to an annual horse racing festival which we thought too iconic not to showcase.

Come to think of it, the lofty speed a racehorse gallops is not unlike the speed in which you will get what you want with Bing. With our commitment to giving you what you want faster, we’d like to announce a feature which gives you easy access to all areas of the most popular websites.

Let us explain. A search for the department store Myer or the bank St George, for example, will produce a result with additional information including shortcut links to the site’s most relevant parts, often hard to find customer service numbers and a search box for the searched site.

  • OK so why is it that Bing USA gives us the information above, but Bing Australia doesn't ???

  • Hi Stefan,

You'll find that this feature is indeed live in the Australian market. Although this feature isn't triggered for all sites, we are always adding to our catalogue.

    Thanks for your feedback,

    The Bing AU Team

  • Recently read a biography of a writer's year spent in Birdsville. It certainly is a place I'd like to visit, and live in for a while as well. The life and the locals of Birdsville make it an iconic, intriguing and must-visit location in Australia. Thanks for the fantastic image of the races; I'm gonna get myself the Bing Australia homepage...
