Yes, you read correctly… Bing Maps will now be available as a mapping option on select HP Photosmart e-All-in-One printer. HP changed the printer game last June when they announced the world’s first web-connected home printer: The HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web; and we along with many others were impressed. Now we’re getting into the fun!  Beginning this fall, Bing Maps will be available on new HP ePrint enabled home printers worldwide, giving you access to Bing Maps’ best in class high resolution imagery for quick and easy one touch map printing… right from a printer! • I guess that is okay but I wonder what the Windows Client team is thinking about HP's move to bundle a removable/wireless Slate with their eStation printer.  While we wait on the Windows team to deliver a superior  and cost effective Slate consumer experience, its good that Bing isn't looking at platforms from a paternal state of mind.

  • I think it's Good for all passionate users of bing Maps, well HP taking new move to printers, congratulation for all team of Bing & HP.

  • I just bought a new HP all in one and I love it.

  • My office is having HP 500 - A0 Size plotter where I used to print large size maps. Can HP help us to provide some support for the existing customers as well instead of dumping new products to customers. I do not understand HP very well, Once I had a problem with my laptop (HP Compaq presario)with the power supply I was in total misery to whom to get help. In the HP website there is no page is saying anything about Sri Lanka where I am from. I called HP singapore they directed to HP India. HP India have no idea about HP in Sri Lanka (country just below India). I also faced problems with disk caching with HP computers running MSDE (Microsoft Database Engine - Free version of SQL 2000)caused some dataloss due to disk caching though I managed to solve it by disabling the disk caching and recover the lost data via the back up. For me chosing HP seems like an incorrect decision by Microsoft. On the other hand I had some problem with Microsoft and matter of two calls I managed to get the right answer. Microsoft have good reputation in countries like Sri Lanka. Instead of choosing partners like HP why can't Microsoft add print button to the bing maps itself?. Export functionality would be even better. I am sure people will welcome it.

  • Has development on Bing Maps just stopped or something? There have been no updates other than apps for almost a year now. Also, imagery updates now seem to be non-existant. Is there anything in the pipeline at all?

  • Hi Tronied,

Are there particular elements of Bing Maps you'd like to see updated? Also, have you had a chance to look through the blog to find some recent (but archived) posts about feature/content updates? To help out, I've pulled some articles I hope you read:

    * Just 2 weeks ago Bing Maps launched transit directions (www.bing.com/.../bing-maps-gets-transit-directions.aspx)

    * A few weeks before that we completely revamped our map-style to be more visually appealing (www.bing.com/.../bing-s-bringing-sexy-maps.aspx)

    * And in April, March, Feburary, and January we had imagery updates:
