Last December we introduced detailed shopping mall maps. Since then, we’ve been adding more mall maps every week. In fact as of this post we’ve finished more than 148 malls in more than 20 states -- including the nine largest enclosed malls by square feet in the US.*  These are:

  1. Mall of America, MN
  2. South Coast Plaza, CA
  3. Woodfield Shopping Center, IL
  4. King of Prussia Mall, PA
  5. Millcreek Mall, PA
  6. Del Amo Fashion Center, CA
  7. Houston Galleria, TX
  8. Roosevelt Field, NY
  9. Tysons Corner Center, VA

*As listed by the International Council of Shopping Centers

For most of our mall maps, you can see parking, ATMs, entrances, as well as many other mall services. Additionally, when searching on Bing Maps for a certain mall or store within that mall, you will be shown a “mall map” link in the search results contact card.

Want to find out if your favorite mall is covered? Just go to bing.com/maps, type in its name, and click on Mall Map in the listing if it appears.

As always, we’d like to know what you think. Please comment below on what you like and don’t like about venue maps. Are there other malls you’d like covered? How about other venues? How can we make the maps even more helpful?

  • I like the addition.  The maps are very helpful, but I didn't even know there have been mall maps since December.  There needs to be better discoverability.  For example, when I zoom in on a mall in standard map mode, there should be a link to open Mall Map mode.  Also, it took me a few minutes to find the method for changing the active level (floor).  This should be more obvious.

  • Are these maps going to be added to the mobile version of Bing Maps?  I know that if I ever need to find a store in a mall, I'm usually in the mall itself with my Windows Phone.

  • Love it! It would be awesome if Bing also had maps of airport terminals =)

  • Having the mall maps show up in the map itself would help discoverability (I read about this feature some time ago, loved it, and totally forgot about it until now) and could help the mobile scenario if the mall maps are just "baked-in".

  • @heat_fan1: Thanks for the feedback, we will channel it to the feature team

@parsonsprject93: Mobile scenarios will be coming later this year :)

  • I love the feature. I think you should add maps for music and sports venues!
