Today, we’re excited to announce the newest instant answer in Bing, the translation instant answer. If you’re looking to impress your friends around the globe, you can now buff up on some common phrases in various languages using the translator instant answer in Bing.

 

Here is a brief look at how it works. Type in the phrase you’d like to translate and to what language. For example: “happy birthday in French.” And voila!

  • Hey, Bing translation is not so sound. I tried to translate from German to English, results are sometimes good, sometimes bad. So please do really develop it as an 'Excellent Web Translator'.

  • I like Bing and have high expectations. But let's not fool ourselves the maps, especially on mobile devices is a little lacking. Finding a restaurant on another popular search (which remain nameless) will bring up more options.

  • This translation tool has been long-awaited. I just hope Microsoft will break barriers with Bing.

  • Translation is neat but not quite there. Further it misses some basic semantic needs of the user. It behaves more like a programming construct. Eg Translate I Love You  Spanish or translate I love you  for spanish or possible inputs and these do not result into any meaningful results.
