Today, we're introducing the official Photosynth app which lets you capture amazing panoramas of your favorite places to share with your friends and even the world with Bing Maps. (The app is currently available via iTunes and will be available on iOS devices later today.) Photosynth’s interactive panoramas allow you to look left, right, up and down, letting you capture and view more of the places you visit.

Using the latest computer vision technology, the Photosynth app makes capturing panoramas fun and engaging, while creating sharp, high-resolution results. With the app, you can process, view, and store your panoramas directly on your device. Then, share them in a variety of ways, including to Facebook as images or as interactive panoramas (hosted for free) on Photosynth.net.
Why are we at Bing so excited about this Photosynth app? Now, you can become part of the Bing Maps experience wherever you go. After capturing a great panorama of a museum you love or a beautiful garden, choose to publish to Bing Maps and it could be seen by the world. From the map, “dive in” and see your panorama next to that museum. Or, experience it seamlessly alongside the museum’s listing in Bing (if tagged with the location name).

Soo , again none of this cool stuff for windows phone ? Really? What's going on guys?
I know that Bing needs to continue growing market share, and thus must bow down to the other mobile platforms out there. I truly hope the Bing and Windows Phone teams are trying to get more synergy, as this "we release apps for other platforms first, ours later" execution is getting old. Developing for Windows Phone is easy compared to the other platforms, why there are no Windows Phone apps released AT THE SAME TIME as other platfoms is rediculous.
Wake up. WP7 is simply not capable of this sort of app until the Mango release because until then developers don't have access to a camera API.
In Europe, Bing indexes the National Library (BnF) to allow you to read Moliere, Racine, Descartes and all the French authors straight in the search results...

Any timing for the Windows Phone 7 availability? After all, all the WP7 devices are defaulted to Bing at core, so it would make sense to capitalise on this installed park to grow the photosynth distribution and usage
