When you think of national parks, what comes to mind? We’re guessing that at the forefront are some of the classic parks, such as Yosemite in California, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and Shenandoah in Virginia. But the National Park Service is much bigger than that, encompassing nearly 400 parks, historical parks and monuments, and they’re all worthy of a visit.
A new Bing Travel slide show presents some of the country’s best national parks and monuments that are a bit off the beaten trail — places that offer stunning scenery and a rich experience, without the crowds you’re likely to find at the more popular venues. The 16 parks and monuments in the slide show span the country, from Tennessee and Texas to Nebraska and Nevada, and up and down the West Coast.

I enjoy many parks but the Grand Canyon is my favorite, because of its scenery. Sometimes I like to feel the essence of the early Pueblo people who inhabited there first.
The Grand Canyon is my favourite but i like to stick at attractions near to my home which is blackpool.

@ luke - there are loads of attractions but the national parks are much more better as its wildlife and thats very relaxing especially on a summers day.
Just made an eight day sweep of 5 National, two tribal and several state parks. Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods. They are all incredible and if you go in late April like I did you won't see any crowds. In fact except for Zion and Arches I was mostly alone with nature.
Sound like a great place to go to, I would like to be going there soon.

I would love to travel America and visit all the national parks driving a camper van (SUV in the states). Yellow Stone Park would be the one I would visit if I only had one choice. The fact I stay in Scotland limits me to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. You guys over the pond will love this place.
