When I visit the caribbean, I stay in mom and pops hotels, or b&b's. Use the internet to search and you will be surprised how many beautiful yet affordable hotels you can find under $100 a night. I used to do the all inclusives but not anymore! If you want to spend christmas in the caribbean, make sure to book waaaaaay in advance because this is the time where they raise the prices.
One of the best "Caribbean" hotels is a cruise!! the per-night rates of cruises are often much better than that of land-based hotel chains AND you get great food, service and fun on-board. Anyone looking for an affordable Caribbean stay might want to keep that in mind!
