Hi,
I have about 5 or 6 sites that I have submitted sitemaps to BING. When I look at the 5 'top pages' for these sites in the overview, they are always obscure pages, never the homepages, often the case that the pages are three levels deep (on a site with over 1000 pages) or to contact and about pages.
For one of the sites none of the content pages are listed in the BING top 5, but it chooses 5 pages from a forum on a subdomain. Interestingly if I do a search for a major term for this site I have three results in the top 10, two to the forums, and one to the contact page of the main site (100 pages, well researched content). Same search term Is number 1 on google for the home page.
Given that these are all unique content (written by myself), fairly old sites, that have homepages, second level pages that do fine in Yahoo and Google my questions are:
Why does BING hate my homepages?
Why would BING choose pages from a subdomain forum and avoid the main site completely?
Is this normal for BING?
How old is your website?

Most are around four years old.
Interestingly I decided to add a forum to one of my sites two weeks ago. It is not open yet, but has a few test posts by myself and is linked from the home page of the site.
It now has two of my top five pages! (4 year old site, unique wel researched content, written by myself).
Just don't understand it at all, seems BING loves forums! and hates content sites!
