Approximately EIGHT weeks ago, I redesigned a website as it was infected. The web host made no attempt to block or correct the hacked pages, so we decided to also move to a new web host. I have made THREE requests to Bing to re-check the website. Currently, the site is listed properly and now shows the correct content next to the search results but does still have an improper malware warning.
I have used the webmaster tools as directed. I can see when Bing crawls my site. I do not see the same results listed in the webmaster tools.
While I am quite glad that Bing has the malware filters, Microsoft needs to expedite the process of delisting sites that had come under attack and are now clean.
It took Google LESS THAN ONE DAY!
It took AOL, YAHOO, ASK.COM and all other major search engines less than a week to properly list the site.
The site is clean and secure now and ALL other major search engines have removed any malware warnings.
Something is amiss here with Bing and it needs to fixed and fixed now.
8 weeks to still not complete what is supposed to be an automated process is just plain ridiculous.
Hi Gary,
Do you have ticket numbers for the requests? If so, please send them to me at lswmc@microsoft.com with your domain name and "Malware verification" in the subject line.
Thanks,
~B
*I no longer work for Bing.
I will dig thru my email records and send this information to you, but want to inform you that I received an email from Bing noting that the malware warning was in fact improper, and that it would be corrected in 2-3 days, which this time it was, so there is no emergency here now, but this whole process did take too long..again I will send the data - I am in vacation mode right now.....
