Hi.We updated our website http://www.gbdriver.co.uk a number of weeks ago now, and having issues with Bing. Doing a site search ( site:www.gbdriver.co.uk ) shows that Bing still has not cached any of our new pages ( they are all old html pages).We have set up re-directs so no-one ends on an error page if they find an old page in a search result. Our site works well in both Google and Yahoo; why is Bing so slow to list all our new pages; I have done a new site map (600+ pages) .I am sure these odd results in Bings cache do not help with our SEO for Bing, as it still remains the only directory that we do not appear on page one for our key search term 'Car Accessories' - with over 13 pages of mostly unrelevent results before us?How can I force Bing to ignore these old pages, and start successfully caching pages from our new site??In terms of SEO we have done for our website, I dont think we can do any more; it is an old domain (registered 2001), so we have been around for a long time and have many sites refering to us. We carefully use all other proper methods of SEO including H1, title, description, internel and external links. And, as some may now from my previous posts, up to aprx 12 months ago, we where number one in MSN :o(ThanksDan.

Sorry not to be of any help but would say the I have the exact same problen same problem with http://www.pensioners.co.uk/ a very old page text description the web designers used when creating the site is shown and after writing the support and posting on the forum , nothing, no feedback , It is as if Bing are not interested in simple informing a client how they overcome the fact that every other search engine updates and Bing will not & and will not inform you why.
Hi Wanda - We had a similar problem to this, MSN and Yahoo where pulling our title and description from the DMOZ directory, which was set up years ago. I suspect this may be the same in your case too, maybe not DMOZ, but its getting your info from an old directory somewhere rather than from the Title and Description meta info you are setting - to tell MSN etc to stop using old page titles and descriptions, insert the meta tags below into your website;
<meta name="msnbot" content="NOODP" /><meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOODP" />I cant promise anything - but it worked for us! Just give it a good week or so for Bing to pick up the changes.FYI - I cant open your website in Internet Explorer ,, says there's a fault then closes. I had to view in Fire Fox.Good luck, Dan.
