My blog is in bing but like my old blog http://dreamsburnredblogspot.com -- http://canadiantechblogger.com also doesn't get to be indexed very well.

I have 445 backlinks reported by bing webmaster, and none are blocked, the last crawl was on the 18th and it just stoped.

So why is bing having such a problem with my site?

As I have 200+ in yahoo and google so is there no spam issues.

Sitemap is in bing.

So it is a very new site. And for new sites, one may have to wait for days/weeks/months to see it indexed in Bing and other SEs.

There is no specific time period in which pages are guaranteed to get indexed.

"I have 445 backlinks reported by bing webmaster"

Backlinks help a lot, but just every backlink might not help. Links from quality/relevant websites will help.

    One last thing:

Copyscape has detected duplicate content on your homepage. SEs do not like to see sites that have duplicate content and such sites may not index well and may not rank well in SERPs.

You can consider taking a look at this matter and to see why duplicate content is being detected.

  • 1. Its top ranked <10 in google for many search terms so its new(ness) is not a factor.

Google, Yahoo, Alexa, Guru, Baid, Larbin, Cuil, and fast search are indexing my site.

    Bing though is ignoring me.

The backlinks reported to bing are all 5/5 dashes so they are quality links.

Finally the duplicate content is only in the title name.

  • Your site is quite new, and Bing considers the age of a website as an important ranking factor, so just be patient, and your site will hopefully be indexed and crawled properly soon.

Some search engines rank new sites high in SERPs for sometime. People call it the New Content Boost. This boost can make sites rank high in SERPs but this boost is temporary. So your ranking in Google etc SEs can be the result of this boost.

Bing however, do put quite some weight on site age.

  • I will agree with the other's on this. Your site is new and as it may not be a factor on the other SEs, it is possible that it is a factor here. I see that we have 4 pages indexed. Give it a little more time, continue with your link  building and you should see an improvement.
