Description

The first Yat Sing was opened back in 1978, originally in downtown Los Altos. It began and remains today as a family run business. Altogether, a total of 8 family members managed and employed the original location. Years later, Raymond branched off and opened his own restaurant in Redwood City More(Marsh Manor Shopping Center) with the help of his wife Millie in April of 1987. Just recently in November of 2004, the husband and wife combo expanded yet again with their second Redwood City location at Woodside Plaza. The Los Altos location ended up moving over to Pleasanton, where it currently is today.

  • Rating: 2.0 out of 5"Apr 20, 2014 · by Charleen S. from YelpI've had better Chinese! Felt really Americanized and portions were small. We were a family of 4 and there wasn't enough food for everyone. Portions were more comparable for a party of 2. Probably won't be going back. Even though it's really close to home I rather drive further for at least decent Chinese food. Full review
  • Rating: 4.0 out of 5"Apr 15, 2014 · by Nick S. from YelpI've had lunch here twice. Service is friendly and prompt, the food is good - not the best, but more than good enough for the price. I just finished the Hunan Prawns, and it was quite tasty - a nice balance of sweet and spicy, with the crunch still on the breading of the prawns. For me it's a convenient option for … Full review
