The Blue Plate opened in 1999 as a casual spot where friends and neighbors can enjoy the best ingredients our seasons have to offer. Owners Cory Obenour and Jeff Trenam have created a space that feels like a home, with three distinct dining rooms each appointed with the work of Morelocal artists. In the back, a lush, night-fragrant garden offers an exotic retreat from the bustle of the city. The kitchen stays committed to using the highest quality local produce and meats in classic American and rustic Mediterranean dishes. Through a working friendship with Bay Area farmers, the Blue Plate is expanding the notion of "the blue plate special" to include dining that is casual, affordable, delicious and responsible.

The staff are very helpful and generous. A true City classic! If you get a chance to sit at the counter it's fun to watch them cooking and prepping plates! Full review
  • Rating: 2.0 out of 5"Apr 11, 2016 · by Tracie P. from YelpI'm sorry, I just didn't really like it. The lamb in the lamb ravioli was gamey...BUT if you like lamb like that, then read other reviews. The fried chicken my hubby got was ok, but just not very meaty. We stopped at in n out burger on the way home from our night out because we were starving by 11:30. :( Wait staff was super friendly! Really nice folks there. Full review
