Peter & Mara Soutiere - ProprietorsWhat can you say about this dynamic duo? I once heard Pete describe his wife as the motorboat and himself as the skier, I think this is fitting. With Peter’s knowledge of fine wine and Norwegian black metal how could he not seem like a Morecatch to the lovely and extremely business savvy Mara? Well, you know what they say about opposites, not only did these two attract, but they flourished! Their first venture in Lafayette was such a success that they decided Pearl Street better suited them. After Tahona had proven itself to the West End the couple saw the opportunity for further expansion and purchased Sushi Tora in the fall of ’09. Peter & Mara can be found celebrating their joie de vive with their son Ian, daughter Muriel, and hound Lemmie.
