Description

The moment you step into the Metropolitan Grill, you know you have entered a classic steakhouse. Guests enter through tall mahogany doors to be greeted by tuxedo clad Maitre D’s. Cuts of beef are showcased in a glass display in the front entryway. Framed photographs of celebrities, sports heroes and Morelocal politicians, all frequent visitors to The Met, line the walls. At the Metropolitan Grill, the focus is on the Prime beef, American and Japanese Wagyu. Steaks are seared over the high heat of the “Iron Wood of the World,” imported mesquite charcoal, ensuring the most tender, juicy steaks available. Metropolitan Grill Chefs personally select each cut that is served to guests. The Metropolitan Grill’s award-winning wine list showcases the definitive steakhouse selection of premium West Coast red wines, with special emphasis on Cabernets, Merlots and Meritage.

  • Rating: 5.0 out of 5"by James B. at Yelp User Review3/18/2013The best filet I have ever had. It was full of flavor and I cut through it like butter. My wife and I had the same thought and that is huge for her to rave about a steak. The server Steve an older gentleman was in my top 3 of all time service and this is why I left a $75 tip. If we ever visit seattle again this will be a must do again. The ice cream was the best I have ever had. Read full review
  • Rating: 4.0 out of 5"by A F. at Yelp User Review2/2/2013My favorite steak in Seattle (when I lived in Chicago it was Morton's but it isn't the same here and El Gaucho is definitely not the best). However the service by the table staff and hostesses is hit or miss. Sometimes they are lovely and attentive and sometimes you get the ones that really just want the highest … Read full review

But we could never find the time until my husband got two and a half weeks off during the holidays so we decided to put in a reservation for Christmas Eve, preceding dinner with "The Nutcracker" at McCaw Hall. Hubby and I love steak so for a … Read full review
  • Rating: 3.0 out of 5"by Katherine T. at Yelp User Review1/27/2013Stopped by Metropolitan Grill on a whim, we were looking for a last minute steakhouse to do a little celebrating and decided to pick the Met because it had the highest reviews of all the steakhouses we haven't tried yet. The ambiance is typical, old school and warm. We were greeted immediately and … Read full review
