Description

Northlake Tavern and Pizza House opened in 1954 at a site just a block west of its present location. With the construction of the Interstate 5 Highway bridge ... Northlake had to move ... so we did to our present location. ABOUT OUR PRODUCT! The special kind pizza we feature Morehere is from an old Italian recipe. It happened one day as the original owner of this establishment expressed his dissatisfaction with the pizza. "Pshew, what garbage!" he exclaimed. "I'll bet I can make a better pizza than this." So a bet was made. He recalled eating a great pizza in New York ... so he gave a call to an old friend in NY whose family ran an Italian restaurant and he got their special pizza recipe. After some experimentation with various kinds of toppings, cheeses, and crust, the Northlake Style Pizza was born! He won the bet. Since then we have carried on the tradition of making a special kind of pizza. We work hard to make your pizza a real taste treat. We use only the freshest and finest ingredients available, such as Real Canadian bacon, Hawaiian pineapple, and all of our cheese is real. And, our pepperoni and beef sausage is specially ground to our own demanding specifications.

Looking for something easy, we decided to get pizza. With some local guidance, we decided to try the Northlake Tavern. Fortunately, they were open on Christmas Eve. Planning for 10 adults, there was the usual … Read full review
  • Rating: 2.0 out of 5"by MB G. at Yelp User Review12/21/2012Not as good as I hoped it would be. We ordered two pizzas, and it took a really long time to get them out. We had almost finished our pitcher of beer when the pizzas finally came. The main problem with the pizza is that there is no crust. The toppings cover the entire pizza. That may work for some people, but … Read full review
  • Rating: 5.0 out of 5"by brooke e. at Yelp User Review12/4/2012I don't know why this place doesn't have higher ranking.. it was amazing. Went there yesterday and ordered the Hawaiian with some pepperoni (thick pepperoni!) on it and did whole wheat crust. They pile the pizza so high with toppings, so you're getting more of the good stuff, rather than the grease stuff. I … Read full review
  • Rating: 3.0 out of 5"by Susie G. at Yelp User Review11/11/2012I have had their pizza twice now. I love their pepperoni. It is sliced thick. Although for the rest of the pizza I find it to be over priced. I'm not a fan of their crust or their cheese. THeir sausage also does not have flavor. Read full review
