Description
dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails, and a "front porch" casual dining area with a daily extended happy hour from 4-8pm. The variety of atmospheres allows for a different experience with every visit, and the vastness and quality of the menu does the same. For the budding sake enthusiast or the seasoned veteran, the sake menu at Umi is bottle for bottle the best found anywhere outside of Japan!

- 2/3/2013I love sushi and, after hearing about the chef here and his training, was truly looking forward to eating here. The beginning started out great- edamame as a free appetizer and two delicious and unique sake drinks, but once the sushi came I was disappointed. The sauce used on the sushi was not that great. - 2/2/2013Waited 45 minutes for a table. We asked to talk to the manager to let her know that the table that we were finally seated at had been available for 30 minutes. Really!! Upon talking to the manager we were asked to leave! Wow! Went to Wasabe Bistro down the street and had a great meal. No need to return to Umi...Ever! Read full review
