In 1984, a small group of Christ-followers desired to start a church in Central Wisconsin around the following vision: “glorifying God by helping people take the next step in their relationship to Christ.” Highland started in Wausau and God has graced us with additional campus sites in Weston (2008) and Marathon (2013): we are one church in three locations. With expanded ministries, we are blessed with many vocational and volunteer staff that seek to share the love of Christ both locally and globally. Highland has always had a strong commitment: to love God and love others; teach the Word of God in an exegetical and practical way; support local and global missions; and minister, with grace, to all ages.
