During the weekend the parking lot is totally full and usually the drivers have to wait forever to find a spot. By bus is pretty easy and stops right in front of the entrance.

Yes it's safe but you do have to practice responsible parenting as the park is a wilderness area and has cliffs and slippery rocks near water. Stay on marked trails and hold children's hands when near the water you will be fine and have a great time.
