India’s Sensex Drops for Seventh Day as Lenders Tumble on Expiry

Indian stocks dropped for a seventh day, with the benchmark index posting the biggest loss among Asian benchmarks, as banks and software makers fell on the last trading day of the March derivative contracts.

Housing Development Finance Corp., the biggest mortgage lender, was the worst performer on the S&P BSE Sensex. State Bank of India and Axis Bank Ltd. declined more than 3 percent each. Wipro Ltd. decreased the most in nine months, dragging down a gauge of technology companies by the most in more than three months.
