Area Teachers Working at McDonalds to Help Schools

Roanoke, VA - Hundreds of our areas teachers and school staff members will be moonlighting as restaurant workers Tuesday night in an effort to raise money for their schools.

"McTeachers Night" will kick off at 5:00 p.m. and includes 59 McDonald's restaurants across the viewing area. The event is sponsored by the McDonald's Operators Association of Southwest Virginia. That group represents 14 franchise owners from areas that include Roanoke, Lynchburg, Martinsville, South Boston and the NRV.

Each restaurant adopts a school who will help staff the restaurant. A portion of sales accumulated between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. will be donated back to the participating schools.
