VMware Inc. (VMW) Fell To Over A 10-Month Low After Q3 Report

VMware Inc. (VMW) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.87 after the bell Tuesday, compared to $0.84 in the previous year. Revenues rose 18% to $1.52 billion from $1.29 billion last year. Analysts expected EPS of $0.83 and revenues of $1.50 billion.

VMware gapped open dramatically lower Wednesday, but rebounded during the first hour of trade. The stock traded in a range for the rest of the session and closed down by 6.24 at $81.95 on the highest volume of the year. VMware has been on a downward trend for the past 2 months and set a 10 1/2 month low.
