Star Wars’ Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance are getting ready for the first-ever screening of the complete saga in China ahead of the debut of the franchise’s latest installment, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which opens worldwide on Dec. 18.

‘Star Wars’: The saga in trailers

Chinese moviegoers will finally get to watch all six movies in the Star Wars saga so far on the big screen at the 18th edition of the Shanghai International Film Festival, organizers and Walt Disney Pictures said Monday.

The 18th edition of the SIFF will mark the first theatrical screening of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi in China.
