MSA Safety Q3 Profit Down

MSA Safety Incorporated (MSA) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $19.3 million or $0.51 per share, compared with $19.5 million or $0.52 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings improved to $0.57 per share from $0.56 per share last year.

Net sales for the quarter rose to $275.2 million from $264.9 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.55 per share on revenues of $274.65 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
