Persistent rain this weekend has led to flooding in parts of SE England. This footage was taken in Lewisham on Sunday.

A main road through Lewisham in south-east London was closed for several hours after it was flooded.

The A20 Loampit Vale was under about 1m (3ft) of water following the heavy rain on Sunday afternoon.

Environment Agency officers said it appeared it was caused by the River Ravensbourne overflowing.

The road was reopened at 16:30 GMT after firefighters managed to pump the water further down the river.

No residential properties were flooded but a shop was affected.

Crews managed to stop the water reaching nearby Lewisham DLR so the station remained open.
