Domino's Pizza Ongar renew sponsorship with Dunboyne

St Peter's Dunboyne are delighted to announce the renewal of our sponsorship with Domino's Pizza Ongar. Domino's Ongar is part of a Domino's Pizza Franchise Group that is owned and run by Kevin and Peter Blessing. Kevin and Peter are nephews of Meath legend Colm O'Rourke and cousins of current Meath players, Shane and Paddy. The Blessing's links to Meath football are extensive with family connections to the Dunshaughlin, Skryne, Simonstown and Kilmainhamwood clubs, along with St Patrick's secondary school in Navan.
Peter explained "Our family followed the great Meath team of the eighties and nineties with Colm through all of the big days so we've always had a great interest in Meath GAA even when they've beaten the Dubs!" "It's an opportunity for us to re-connect with some of that and to support a progressive club in Meath where we have many friends"
Peter presented the jersey to club captain and Meath player Donal Lenihan. Donal has recently been recalled to the Meath senior panel having lit up the Hoganstand Meath senior championship this year with some sparkling performances. Of his return to the fold, Donal said "I was happy to get another chance, Morale is really high, the set up is excellent. We are very hopeful things will go our way over the next few weeks ". Donal's brother Darragh, an accomplished GAA player, is a professional soccer player with Blackburn Rovers and a major loss to the Dunboyne senior team!
Peter also presented to Dunboyne vice-captain Shane McEntee. Shane is also part of one of the most famous Meath GAA families. Shane is a son of Andy, who managed Shane and rest of the Meath minors to the All Ireland final in 2012 and is currently managing Dublin club Ballyboden St Endas. Shane is a nephew of Meath great Gerry McEntee and recently captained the Meath U21s.
