Hartford health insurer Aetna said Tuesday that it has completed its $400 million acquisition of an insurance shopping technology platform called bswift.

The deal was first announced earlier this month. It gives Aetna a private-exchange offering for insurance shoppers. Private equity firm Great Hill Partners and others were the sellers.

Based in Chicago, bswift has 380 employees. The company also offers benefits administration technology and services to employers.
