Tech Five: Salesforce dips on weak outlook

Cloud computing company Salesforce is taking a hit on Wall Street following quarterly results. Here are the five technology stocks to watch Thursday:

Salesforce chairman and CEO Marc Benioff.

Salesforce. Shares dipped more than 3% in pre-market trading after revealing its fourth quarter earnings and revenue might fall short of analyst forecasts, reports Bloomberg. For the third quarter, Salesforce reported revenue of $1.38 billion, up 29% from the previous year.

Alibaba. The company plans on launching an international version of online marketplace Taobao, reports Reuters. The service will be available in multiple languages, including English.

Facebook. Shuttle bus drivers working for the social network voted to join the Teamsters union. The move is part of a broader push to guarantee better pay and benefits for service workers in Silicon Valley.

Yahoo. The company reached a five-year deal with Mozilla to become the default search option for the Firefox web browser. Next month, Firefox users will have an enhanced Yahoo search experience with a "clean, modern interface," says Mozilla.

Apple. The tech giant will bundle the Beats music service with its iOS operating system starting early next year, reports The Financial Times. The move will be pushed via update that could arrive as soon as March.
