Here's our list of family-friendly events happening this weekend in Southwest Florida, including Fort Myers, Naples, Punta Gorda and all points in between.

FRIDAY, JULY 3

Family Beach Walk — 9-10 a.m. Gulfside City Park, Sanibel, FL 33957. Meet at Sanibel's Gulfside City Park for a one-hour guided exploration of the refuge's Perry Tract. Learn about this vital beach ecosystem. Don't forget to bring your shell bag! Note: Parking Fees at the Gulfside City Park apply. 1 hour.

Fort Myers Art Walk — 6 p.m. Fort Myers River District, Downtown Fort Myers Fort Myers, FL 33901. Free Fort Myers Art Walk showcases new art shows, live music and the traditional after party. Art buyers and art enthusiasts can meet the artists during the show openings at most of the downtown galleries. The Fort Myers Art Walk runs from 6-10 p.m. on the first Fridays of every month (rain or shine) in the Fort Myers River District. The evening culminates with an after party at 10 p.m. at Spirits of Bacchus on Hendry Street. Healthier Hendry Glades 5K RUN WALK — 6:30 a.m. Hendry Co. Dept of Health, 1140 Pratt Blvd Labelle, FL. The first annual Healthier Hendry Glades 5K Run/ Walk will be held on July 4, 2015 at 7:30am. Throughout the 5K participants will get a glimpse of two parks used by residents as a way to maintain a healthy lifestyle! The race will start and finish near the Hendry Co. Department of Health and LYDA park. Awards : First through Fifth Place award medals will be given in each of the following age divisions: Female Age Divisions 12 & under/ 13-19 / 20-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70-99 Male Age Divisions 12 & under/ 13-19 / 20-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70-99 Registration: Race Day Registration will take place between 6:30 am -7:15 am . There will be an additional $5.00 fee for day of the event entrants. Online Registration: Last day to register on-line will be July 1, 2015 midnight . Middle School Glow Party at Club Gravity — 7 p.m. Bill Austin Youth Center, 315 SW 2nd Ave Cape Coral, FL 33991. $5 Every Friday teens from middle school ages 11 to 14, from all over Cape Coral and Fort Myers will join us at Club Gravity, to enjoy about 3 hours of dance, music, and entertainment. The Middle School with the most kids attending the dance, will earn a discount for the next event. Plus we will be giving away prizes. Spread the voice. Open every Friday, from 7-9:45 p.m.

SATURDAY, JULY 4

4TH of JULY Boat Cruise — 7:30-11 p.m. Naples Marina And Excursions, 12345 Tamiami Trail N Naples, FL 34110. Public Party Boat - $55 per person Private 6 passenger Boat - $500 Naples Marina & Excursions will be offering an enjoyable excursion to watch the sunset and fireworks from the Naples Pier on July 4th. We have two options for this year. One is on our public party boat and the other is our private 6 passenger boat. This cruise sells out early every year so book your reservations today! Tickets on the party boat are only $55 per person plus tax and gratuity. Boarding time will be from 7pm - 7:25pm at Cocohatchee River Park Marina and we will depart promptly at 7:30. We will cruise the coast arriving the Naples Pier at 8:30pm to watch the sunset and then party until the show. Fireworks are scheduled to launch at 9:30pm and normally last 20-30 minutes. Bonita Springs YMCA Old Fashioned Bed Race — 5-6 p.m. Riverside Community Center, 3061 East Riverside Drive Fort Myers, FL. $50 registration fee for teams participating. You can register as earlier as you wish and start working on building the winning bed! Call us and we will email you the registration form and rules of the competition. The Bonita Springs YMCA will be promoting our Bonita Springs YMCA Old Fashioned Bed Race as part of the 4th of July Celebration in our City, and we want you to be part of this entertaining competition! Funds raised through registration are dedicated to providing scholarship assistance for children taking part in Y programs like summer day camp. Your participation will allow one child to enjoy TWO weeks free of our summer camp with a field trip, one meal and snacks and memories forever.

EAA 66 Young Eagle Rally and Pancake Breakfast — 8-10 a.m. Page Field Airport Ft. Myers, Captain Channing Page Dr Fort Myers, FL 33907. The Young Eagle Rally is free. The pancake breakfast is All You Can Eat for $5.00. Kids 11-17 come explore aviation with us. We will be giving a mini aviation lesson followed by a flight in a general aviation aircraft. When the flight is over you will get a participation certificate, flight log book, and a code to go online and take ground school. It is the ground school you need to become a pilot. The Wizard of Oz Youth Drama Camp — midnight Burnt Store Presbyterian Church, 11330 Burnt Store Rd Punta Gorda, FL 33955-1402. $75 for the camp includes daily lunch, costumes, cpty of the playbook and drama/set instruction. The Wizard of Oz camp runs from Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10 each day from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All youth in grades 1-8, are invited to participate. The cost covers lunch every day, costumes, a copy of the playbook for each camper, instruction in drama, dance, singing, and props construction. At the end of the week, Friday at 7 p.m., the show will be performed and all are welcome to attend.
