The 39-year-old actress and her three-year-old adopted child coordinated in sweatpants as they held hands on the way to lunch.
The Monster star donned a navy blue pair as her little boy sported the dark grey version.

It appeared Charlize had just picked Jackson up from school, as he wore a colourful backpack while striding along in bright purple Crocs.
The South African beauty donned a loose-fitted white T-shirt featuring a horse print as she strut her stuff in dark grey sneakers.
She wore her hair swept back in a low-maintenance bun as she concealed her eyes behind dark shades.

It was a mother son outing, as the two were not joined by Charlize’s beau, Sean Penn, 54.
Last Friday, the couple made a red carpet appearance as they attended the Cesar Awards in Paris, where Sean was the recipient of the honorary Cesar Award
While the Mystic River actor made no mention of her in his acceptance speech, he recently paid tribute to her when he told Esquire: 'I'm surprised to be in love.'

He continued: 'To run into somebody now who you care about is a much more passionate, deeper, truer and – God! – a much happier feeling.

And Sean as good as confirmed that marriage is on the cards with Charlize, admitting, ‘Yes, I’d get married again’.

Sean was previously married to Madonna, from 1985 to 1989, and actress Robin Wright, who managed 14 years with the actor until they parted in 2010.
But in words that might come as a slap in the face to his two former wives, the Milk actor claimed that he would consider a potential union with Charlize ‘a first marriage’ and a completely fresh slate.
‘You say I’ve been married twice before but I’ve been married under circumstances where I was less informed than I am today, so I wouldn’t even consider a third marriage, I’d consider it a first marriage on its own terms if I got married again. I mean, I like the tradition.’
