BJP counters Rahul Gandhi: It's not PR, it's Modi's pyaar

The BJP on Tuesday attacked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of running a personal Public Relations (PR) campaign through state events like the Republic Day.

"Since May, the NDA government is at the Centre and the Prime Minister is busy doing PR. The PM is indulging in PR stunts. There hasn't been a single concrete result and people are asking, when will the talk stop and work begin?" Rahul said as he finally made an appearance by holding a rally in poll-bound Delhi, which will vote for a new Assembly on February 7.

"This government is only for a few industrialists while the Congress is for the poor and we will come back on this plank," the Congress leader added. His party was voted out of power in 2013 after a 15-year run in the national capital under Sheila Dikshit's leadership.

"Modiji PR nahi kar rahe, janta se pyaar kar rahe hain (Modiji is not doing any PR, he loves the countrymen)," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said. Modi is scheduled to address four more rallies in Delhi this week.
