Anticipated Earnings Increase for Monster Beverage

Optimism surrounds Monster Beverage as it gets ready to report its fourth quarter results on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Analysts are expecting the company to book a profit of 59 cents a share, up from 44 cents a year ago.

The consensus estimate remains unchanged over the past month, but it has increased from three months ago when it was 58 cents. For the fiscal year, analysts are projecting earnings of $2.65 per share. Revenue is projected to be $584.1 million for the quarter, 8% above the year-earlier total of $540.8 million. For the year, revenue is projected to come in at $2.44 billion.

The company's net income has been increasing for three consecutive quarters. In the most recent quarter, net income rose by 60% from the year-earlier period. Net income rose 32% in the quarter before that, and 50% in the first quarter.

The company has reported growing revenue for three consecutive quarters. The 18% revenue increase brought the figure up to $636 million in the most recent quarter. Looking back further, revenue increased 9% in the second quarter from the year earlier and 11% in the first quarter.
