FuelCell Energy Inc Needing A Jump Start

Shares of FuelCell Energy Inc FCEL are sharply lower following in-line earnings, but a top line revenue number that missed badly.

FuelCell reported a loss after Monday's close of $0.03, matching analysts expectations. Revenues came in at $43.2 million, well below the consensus number of $53.6 million.

Shares of FuelCell were down almost 10 percent shortly after Tuesday's market open.

Shares of other fuel cell makers are down in sympathy, with Ballard Power Systems Inc. (USA) BLDP lower by 1.9 percent and Plug Power Inc PLUG down 2.5 percent.
