Twenty people have been released on bail after being arrested following a mass brawl in Newport.
Gwent Police were called to Albany Street in Crindau following reports of a disturbance on Thursday, about 7.15am.
Two men were taken to hospital with minor injuries and 18 men and two women were arrested and taken into police custody.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “It’s believed private land owners were attempting to remove people from the area.
“Two men were taken to hospital; one with a hand injury and another with a facial injury, neither are life threatening.”
Seven men - one aged 27 from Milton Keynes; another aged 37 from Newport; one aged 25 from Bury; two aged 19 and 26 of no fixed abode; two 15-year-olds from Newport - were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A woman, 28, from Milton Keynes was arrested for a no bail warrant.
A 55-year-old man from Merthyr; a 45-year-old man and a 39-year-old man from Merthyr; a 42-year-old man and a 25-year-old man from Ebbw Vale and a 22-year-old man from Pontypool have also been arrested on suspicion of affray as were a 24-year-old man, a 49-year-old man, a 21-year-old man, two 37-year-old men and a 51-year-old woman all from Bristol.
Police said a number of offensive weapons were seized including bladed and blunt objects.
