‘Hocus Pocus’ Show Heading To Disney’s Magic Kingdom
Hocus Pocus is a beloved Disney film that has spanned generations, that even millennials are nostalgic about the film. While rumors about a sequel to the film are still up in the air, we do have confirmation that Hocus Pocus will be back in our lives once again.
According to Disney, there’s a Hocus Pocus show that will hit the Magic Kingdom Park. Disney decided to announce the exciting news on its blog. The show, which will be called Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, will be presented during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. Fans of the 1993 film will have a chance to reminisce from September 15 to November 1, 2015.
During the blog post, Disney Parks said, “The mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s ‘Hocus Pocus’ return to the mortal world for one night during the Halloween season. With only a few hours to run amuck, the three sisters decide to use their magic to throw the best, evil Halloween party this side of the graveyard!”
The blog post continued, “With the help of the Disney villains, Winifred, Mary and Sarah gather together sinister shadows, nefarious nightmares and the power of their frightful friends to conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion and cast a spell on everyone in the Magic Kingdom Park.”
In addition, the show will also feature Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and other Disney villains, complete with projections and special effects.
As for the sequel to Hocus Pocus, we aren’t quite sure when that will happen. The last time the Inquisitr reported on the news of a possible sequel, the film’s star, Bette Midler, was still on board.
During a Reddit AMA, Midler said, “You have to go to send in your cards to the Walt Disney company. The ball’s in their court.”
Right before the Reddit AMA chat ended, Midler gave advice to all the fans waiting for a sequel. “Inundate the Disney company, because I have canvassed the girls and they are willing to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a Hocus Pocus 2, ask the Walt Disney company. You have been SO adorable. This has been most enlightening. SISTAHS!”
Although the sequel is up in the air, fans are still excited about the Hocus Pocus show.
