(10 a.m. ET) U.S. Conference Board consumer confidence index. Consensus is for 99.5.

(2 p.m. ET) Bank of Canada Governor Poloz speaks at Western University in London and holds 315 p.m. news conference.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada releases consumer price index for January. Consensus is for a 0.7 per cent rise from a year earlier, or a decline of 0.4 per cent from December. Core CPI is forecast to rise 2.0 per cent from a year ago.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. initial jobless claims for last week. It's forecast to rise 7,000 to 290,000.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. consumer price index for January. It's forecast to fall 0.1 per cent from a year ago. Exluding food and energy, it's expected to rise 1.6 per cent.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. durable goods orders, excluding transportation, for January. It's forecast to rise 0.5 per cent.
